Today’s theme is: “Looks Like A Castle!” (Or Just Castles Of Course!)”

As close to a proper castle as there is in these parts, unless you count the Spanish missions which look a lot like castles…

Montezuma Castle was built by the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad as a luxury hotel to capitalize on the natural hot springs on the site, thought to be of help to TB sufferers et alia. Guests included Theodore Roosevelt, Rutherford B. Hayes, Ulysses S. Grant, William Tecumseh Sherman, Jesse James, and Emperor Hirohito of Japan. The castle is now occupied by the Armand Hammer United World College.
